A case of sustainable design

The makers of Royal Økologisk had seen our work for Skærtoft Mølle and came to us for something equally iconic. The more we learned about their beer (and yes, the more we tasted it), the more we felt it would be a shame to add anything to it. It’s a really nice beer made from good, all-organic ingredients. So instead of hiding the ingredients in a list on the back, we decided to bring them out and make them the stars of the show.

We created icons of hop flowers, barley, and yeast, and decorated the cans with them. We also re-used the star from their old design, in an updated version. In fact, we like to say we invented nothing on this design. We only used the elements they came to us with.
